Copthorne Nursing Home Residents Put At Risk Again By Dangerous Staffing Levels

The Care Quality Commission has demanded urgent Action at the Francis Court Nursing Home in Copthorne after staff shortages have again meant that residents in the nursing home have been put at risk.

The Francis Court Nursing Home is notorious after five deaths occurred there in 2011 and an inquest identified poor care. The home was shut down and reopened with new management Care UK in February 2012STAFF shortages are putting residents at risk at a care home, which opened in place of an infamous home where negligence contributed to five deaths, an inspection has found.

The latest scare comes after several anonymous calls from staff had alerted the Care Quality Commission about concerns about staffing levels

The Care Quality Commission gave the nursing home’s management a time scale to identity and rectify the problems or face potential closure again if a sound plan was not in place.
